Acceptable Use Policy

Please read first: how the connection works and the risk to your number

• How your number is connected. Your number is connected as a linked device, the same way WhatsApp Web works, rather than through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). Vancely is an independent service.
• WhatsApp may restrict or ban numbers. WhatsApp can temporarily restrict or permanently ban any number it believes is being automated or misused, at its sole discretion. This can happen even if you follow every rule on this page.
• No guarantee. We cannot guarantee that your number will not be banned, and we are not responsible for a number that is restricted or banned, for messages that are not delivered, or for any business loss that follows. Use a number you can afford to lose, and do not use the number that your business depends on for everything else.
• Our safeguards lower the risk; they do not remove it. Consent checks, warm-up limits, broadcast detection, link rules and health monitoring are built in because they reduce the chance of a ban.

What the service is for

• Transactional messages to your own customers: order and COD confirmations, shipping and courier updates, receipts.
• One-time passwords and login codes requested by the recipient.
• Appointment, booking and payment reminders for services the recipient signed up for.
• Replies to customers who contacted you, and two-way support conversations.

What you must not do

• Send bulk, unsolicited or promotional broadcasts, or message people who have not asked to hear from you.
• Use purchased, rented, scraped or otherwise third-party contact lists, or numbers generated by guessing.
• Send spam, chain messages, or repeated messages after someone has opted out.
• Run scams, phishing, fraud, impersonation, fake prize or investment schemes, or collect passwords or payment details deceptively.
• Send illegal content, including content that violates the laws of Pakistan (such as PECA 2016) or the recipient's country, hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• Promote gambling, drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods or other regulated products without the required licences.
• Hide links behind URL shorteners, or try to get around our limits (for example by rotating numbers or splitting a broadcast across numbers or accounts).
• Resell access to the service or share accounts without our written permission.
• Attack, probe or overload the service, or use it to break WhatsApp's own terms in any other way.

Consent and opt-out

You must have the recipient's permission before your first message, and you must be able to show where it came from (an order, OTP request, signup or support request). The API asks for this as consent.source. When someone replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL or otherwise asks you to stop, you must stop; we record these opt-outs automatically and refuse further messages to that person.

Enforcement

• Numbers may be paused. A number that shows signs of abuse or poor health (many failed sends, very few replies, complaints) may be paused automatically or by our team, without notice, to protect it and the platform.
• We may refuse individual messages that break these rules; the API returns an error code explaining why.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break this policy, with or without notice. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded when an account is closed for abuse.
• We cooperate with lawful requests from authorities and may report illegal activity.

Reporting abuse

If you received unwanted messages sent through Vancely, email support@bytevancer.com with the number that messaged you and a screenshot. We investigate every report.
